Today, my last Tuesday in this office, I was going to attempt to start to draft my episode for The Three Musketeers on Coffee Pot Conversations hosted by An Englishman in Paris podcast.

Instead, I’m writing a blog entry and already, there’s a new paragraph. I’m thinking about which photo to use in the gap. I’ve literally just taken one in case I can’t find anything else to use. Anyways, this process of writing monologeous episodes is one that’s eluded me since the season began. I had finished three or four and they weren’t too bad. Heavy research but it was more of an organic run than a “sit and plan” kind of thing. I have numerous new tools at hand that should be assisting me but somehow, it’s the getting started that is the problem. I’m playing the bounce between Nev’s place and mine, rugby training, matches and tours, old job and new. I have two episodes remaining to publish for this debut season – one is mainly recorded, t’other is a question of either patching old material together or being interviewed.
I think I’ll grab a slice of A4 and plot down a few bits. Maybe then I’ll use some more modern technology and see how it looks before reading it out loud after digging through more notes.
