Howl at the Moon. Neither a request nor a suggestion, but a very nice pub in Hoxton.

And it’s here that I sit, basking in the glory of my creative life. I’ve just finished a very non-productive conversation with two very nice and exceptionally talented gentlemen. The outline of a deal was drawn and a handshake was made. In my part of town, that means a lot. It also meant a lot as one of these gentlemen is a legend in The Earful Tower community. Pres Maxson, the musician behind The Sound of Paris soundtrack to that accompanied Oliver Gee’s twenty arrondissement tour of Paris. But Pres is more than that. He’s also an award-winning author. He’s not only written novels but a play, too. And he has a Substack account with some great content. He’s recently altered his Instagram account and I think – as I didn’t ask him – this is a tactical move to spend more time on his creative side, rather than his public-facing churning out content content. I thought about doing this once but I’ve too many photos to simply stop posting. Especially as my content is very simple and mainly a regurgitation of existing work that just needs to an outlet; an advertising space.
I still have a whole heap of blog posts that I need to get onto Instagram so my 311 followers can keep up to date with what has been happening. It would be nice if they saw my blog instead and/or as well as see the updates on Instagram. I can’t have it all. Not just yet. It would also be nice if some more of the Instagram followers chose to listen to my podcast and let me know they’ve listened. Not just Nev or Frankie. I’m craving the interaction rather than the adoration. but I’m only now about to put out episode 1.9 A Conversation with Jasper so I’m not disheartened, at all. Season 2 will be an interesting one to watch/listen. Whilst I know what I’m doing, there are always things cropping up that delay, alter or inspire. Taking these in my stride is something I do. And do well.
With my new job starting in 4 days, I’m looking forward to seeing what time it will afford me in my creative processes. I started note taking for the Musketeer episode and I’m going to see how to turn it into a podcast episode soon. I want to get down a lot of these monologue episodes so that I have them under my belt in case the “what-ifs” strike. And I also have two remote podcast episodes to think about. Plus, a possible Christmas event in Paris…
