I have a feeling that I’ll be changing pens very shortly. I’ve just swapped out a cartridge from my Herbin fountain pen, but without cleaning the nib, the flow is very patchy. This makes it difficult to read and actually, believe it or not, more difficult to write. I took the No. 1 Daddy pen tin out of my writing bag, thinking this was where the pens were that I’d cleaned up in the office before work yesterday. But nope, these ones need doing, too. Which is another sign that I need to be writing more.

It’s been weird having the inter-season podcast break. I had all the time in the world, in theory, but nothing creatively was coming forth. Maybe I was simply waiting for this Paris experience to kickstart my juice flowage. I’ll remember which pen tin has the cleaned nibs in if I head out in the mornings to a boulangerie. Ansoir and Nadia are hosting us for the week – I can’t decide if I like that concept or not. Maybe I just need to wait until we all meet up to make that final judgement call. And maybe then I’ll clean up the remaining fountain pens before trying to use them again.
