I’m struggling at the minute.  Financially, I’m drowning and quite possibly have hit the very last resort at this stage.  My belt is on the very last hole and there isn’t any slack left available to puncture a hole through it.  And yet, I think I’m going to get through it.  The funny thing is that this isn’t even the struggle I’m worried about.  For the sake of this blog entry, at least. 

So what are the issues?  Firstly, my February trip to Paris for Season 4.  What on earth am I going to cover?  What can I do that will get people excited about Paris or keep me on this path?  The islands?  The Wallace Fountains? The walking cards?  Maybe just sitting in a café and doing nothing aside from writing and talking to myself.  Perhaps a walk to the Eiffel Tower to show what it’s like for the tourists.  Notre Dame and the catacombs are going to wait for Nev and the boys.  At least this time I already have the hotel booked so that’s a winner.  I also have a whole day and night in Paris.  I was going to say it’s my first but I did it back in 2021 whilst waiting for Nev.  But this time it’s from start to finish. 

Which means nothing new except that I’ll be alone from start to finish.  Which is nice to some extent.  But it also reduces what I want to do as I love sharing Parisian experiences with Nev.  So bars, shows and museums are out of the question.  Do I show where things are and then voice-over upon my return?  Plan my routes or just wing it?  16 days to decide. 

The second issue I have is with file storage.  There’s so much different media that I’m obtaining and I don’t really have a true proper filing system.  Space isn’t such an issue at present, but the logistical and logical file maintenance – with the prospect of restarting again – is weighing on my mind, a little.  Well, a lot.  I think it’s for ease of use that I want it restructured.   

And going forward, episode 3.4 is going to be a fresh start and I’m going to be using a stripped-back version of my video editing software.  And exporting at a lower resolution.  I just have to store my files in a singular location to make access easy and immediate. Exciting times ahead.
