For this episode, I delve a little deeper into a brand of ink that I use with my fountain pens.

I did discover that, once again, there’s a whole heap of historicity that I am unaware of. I can’t blame my schooling for this; how can they cover everything? I can however blame my education for my French accent and pronunciation issues with some of the more intricate names. I guess a mixture of my East London upbringing and lack of French classes hasn’t helped.

A quick suggestion, if you wish to understand more about the second half of the podcast, is to grab some paper and a pen. Take notes, rewind, replay and investigate.

The history of Anglo/Franco wars and alliances is a vast adventure that I’d like to explore more, as time ticks on. My interest includes the seven-year war which continued to the American Revolution. I’d even like to look further back than that. And further afield, we have the colonisations and World Wars. I’ve not even mentioned the French revolutions and the many prior invasions and attacks that predate this time. There’s so much to learn and so many episodes to fill.

But remember, I’m not an historian, nor a professional podcaster. There are still light-hearted topics to cover and plenty of random things to discover.
