(156) Paths to Legacy

I’m so far behind and yet not really. With so many projects happening and so many balls in the air, I’m not actually worried about it. I have the podcast episodes 8 and 9 to edit, which means 6-9 will need additional voiceovers. Instagram is flagging with only podcast posts appearing, because the blog isn’t up to date, there isn’t anything to post – aside from the 300 photos that require editing before I post them up there.

Nev’s now on her way to the airport for her 10-day trip to Cyprus. We had our mid-week break to the Cotswolds (Clanfield) before I had the boys for this week, until they return to school for years 8 and 10. Where is this year going? Jasper is 6 months away from being a teenager and Rory is 6 months away from being 6 feet tall. I’m looking rugby boots in sizes 7 and 11 for them now. I’m looking forward to their adult lives, but I miss their childhood. And of course, as they grow and develop, my own life gets shorter and more worrying. Which is another reason for Maison du Flâneur to start.

Just looking over my last entry and I mentioned about sangria being my friend. A funny thing is, I had sangria last week from the Co-Op in Burfield. It’s the nicest Sangria I’ve had. I used to drink it quite a lot a few years back but then ended up having Aldi sangria; neither as smooth nor refreshingly relaxing. Which is what it was like in the Cotswolds with Nev.

I also briefly spoke about Google Docs. I’m really smashing that at the minute. With this new venture of mine, I’ve a lot to keep track of and using SmartSuite alongside Google Docs appears to be the way forward. Now all I need is around 15 grand to be able to get myself up and running. Plus 6 months to focus on website planning, product development and an airtight marketing plan. If ever there was a project that was going to be a big one, I think I’ve found it. My biggest task to date. I doubt success will be at my door, but unless I open the gate, we’ll never hear the knocking.

Finally, with a bit of luck, my education will pay off and I would’ve managed what I’d originally intended to do. Be financially comfortable with a legacy.
